Through this free and confidential befriending service we aim to help people of all ages who are isolated by disability or health issues to feel part of their communities. Contact with a volunteer friend can make all the difference to a lonely person whether through regular telephone calls or visits. Volunteers can help with shopping or collecting prescriptions as well as offering transport to appointments or just taking someone out for a cup of coffee or a trip out and about. Family members or carers also benefit through the respite gained during such activities.
